Employer Services

Maintaining healthy employee relations (ER) in an organization is a pre-requisite for organizational success. Effective employee relations ensures a positive employer-employee relationship through identifying and resolving workplace issues.

Managers are at the forefront of demonstrating that work pressures are opportunities for learning and growth, but if left unmanaged, can become serious workplace problems that could impact productivity and overall employee morale. That's why effectively managing employee relations in the workplace is so important.

Below are a list of services we provide organizations who are experiencing ER related issues within the workplace.

CONFLICT RESOLUTION

We will assist with defining the root cause of conflict situations in the workplace. A formal conflict resolution process will be utilized to help bring the situation to resolution. Employees often share their feelings with an objective third party more readily than with your management team. We play the role of facilitator. We listen and mediate issues, allowing your employees to craft solutions to real or perceived problems.

DISCIPLINary Actions

Even when the standards for performance and behavior on the job are clearly communicated, most managers find themselves dealing with a problem employee at some point. Dismissal might seem like the quickest and easiest solution when an employee’s actions disrupt the office. But a disciplinary plan that sets goals for improvement and consequences for failure can protect employees and managers.

Progressive discipline is one process for dealing with poor performance or misconduct that features increasingly formal efforts to provide feedback to the employee so that he or she can correct the problem. We will work with you and your staff to establish a progressive discipline policy, draft written disciplinary actions, review and analyze employee actions and recommend the best course or level of appropriate discipline.

We work in conjunction with our clients' HR departments and employment attorneys. Our comprehensive final investigation reports include background information, summaries of interviews, findings, and recommendations.

PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT

Defining the Agency’s goals and objectives and then relating those to the essential duties of each individual’s job is critical to the success of a good performance management process. We can assist with ensuring your performance standards follow the S.M.A.R.T. Framework.

Having solid performance standards has far reaching benefits especially when taking performance based actions. We also provide assistance with drafting effective performance improvement plans and disciplinary actions for those employees who fail to improve.

ADA/REASONABLE ACCOMMODATIONS

Navigating the Americans with Disabilities Act can be tricky. We can help you understand your responsibilities under the act and ensure you and your employees work together to assess whether an employee's disability can be reasonably accommodated. We provide essential function analysis, draft necessary correspondence for physicians and ensure overall compliance.
